Don’t be too long. Wake me when you

come in.

Amanda disappears from the doorway; Will turns back to his law book.

Amanda steps through the hall doorway, dressed for work, her hair still wet from the shower. She sits on the couch. Will wakes.

AMANDA
You never came to bed. You know what

I think you should do.

WILL
Yeah, quit law school. I don’t want

to have this conversation now.

AMANDA
You never want to have this

conversation. I quit acting for you.
